The work in 5G-MAG is organized in Work Items. They describe the concept, tasks, deliverables and timeline of the areas members want to work on.

A Work Item requires the support of at least four 5G-MAG members. this is to ensure relevance and resources to conduct the work.
​
The work can start with the approval by the Steering Group, which takes into account any feedback from the General Assembly.
​
Members meet at the relevant Workgroups to accomplish the work.
PROPOSE NEW WORK
Anyone can propose a new Work Item with the support of at least four 5G-MAG members, This is what is required:
​
1. Bring an idea

It may be derived from an existing work item or as a discussion within the workgroups
-
It may be suggested by a non-member, with the condition of ensuring internal support
-
It may arise as part of an existing liaison/partnership with another organization
-
It may be brought by members' interest or market experience
​
2. Gather member support for the idea
-
From at least 4 5G-MAG members
​
3. Pitch your idea to the relevant workgroups
-
Contact the Project Office in order to organize a session with members
-
A session will be organized in order to gather feedback and additional support
​
4. Write down the Work Item description
-
Use the template below

Be as concrete as possible in terms of tasks and deliverables​​
​
5. Approval
-
Send the final Work Item description to the Project Office to kick-start the approval process.
