The 5G-MAG Steering Group has recently approved the membership of the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) About Centre for Development of Telematics (CDOT) Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) was established in August 1984 as an autonomous Telecom R&D centre of DoT, Govt. of India. It is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is a registered 'public funded research institution' with the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Hailed as the progenitor of the Indigenous Telecom Revolution in the nation, C-DOT, with more than 3 decades of its relentless R&D efforts in the indigenous design, development and production of telecom technologies especially suited to the Indian landscape, have been in the technology forefront and has significantly contributed to the Indian Telecom Network's Digitization. In the initial years, C-DOT triggered a telecom revolution in the rural India that was responsible for all-round socio-economic development. As part of its development process, C-DOT has spawned a wide base of equipment manufacturers and component vendors for the industry. - 5G-MAG General Assembly meeting in Geneva
5G-MAG held its fifth General Assembly at the premises of the EBU in Geneva last week. The meeting was an opportunity for members to meet in person and for chairs to explain the work carried out by members within their workgroups during last year. In addition, demonstrators brought by HUAWEI and ATEME were deployed showing immersive experiences with spatial video and the delivery of VVC streams over multicast in mobile networks. Recently elected WG Chairs The General Assembly was also informed about the new 5G-MAG structure and welcomed the recently elected chairs: WG Use Cases, Requirements and Opportunities, co-chaired by Roland Beutler (SWR) and Simon T. About Dolby Laboratories Dolby Laboratories creates audio and imaging technologies that transform entertainment and communications for content playback in movies, TV, music and gaming.
