We are happy to announce new releases of our XR projects supporting reference implementation of MPEG-I Standards (ISO/IEC 23090). This time we provide updates to two repositories:
XR Unity Player: This release introduces media pipeline support on Android, enabling features like video textures and spatial audio sources. A significant change is that the Packages/rt.xr.maf package is no longer a pre-compiled dependency via a git submodule. Instead, it now requires compilation from source, and the resulting build artifacts must be manually copied to the project. The majority of the implementation for this release resides in the media pipelines repository, which contains the core Media Access Function (MAF) library and its associated media pipeline plugins.
Blender Exporter: This release introduces initial support for defining and exporting XR anchors as MPEG_anchor glTF extensions. The Blender exporter now allows defining various trackable types, including floor, viewer, controller, plane, 2D markers, geo markers, and application anchors. These exported scenes are compatible with the latest XR Player application, and the addon is compatible with the latest Blender LTS release.
