<p>Registration is open for 5G-MAG's first 5G Broadcast PlugFest, three days of hands-on, multi-vendor interoperability testing bringing together equipment vendors, receiver and middleware developers, and operators. Participants will pair core networks and transmitters from different suppliers and work through a shared test plan spanning the full delivery chain — from core-to-transmitter interfaces to application-layer services.</p>
<p>Interested teams can register to take part, and the community is invited to follow along and get involved via GitHub and Slack in the run-up to the event.</p>

Gimenez, 5G-MAG's Head of Technology, will be on-site throughout the show and available to talk through the Reference Tools roadmap and how to get involved as a contributor. 5G-MAG will also host networking drinks at the stand on the opening day of the show — a chance to meet the team and the wider developer community in person.</p>

<p>Patrick Fontaine, representing InterDigital and the 5G-MAG Reference Tools developer community, presents an update on the MPEG V3C Immersive Platform project — the open-source reference implementation of MPEG's Visual Volumetric Video-based Coding (V3C) standard that 5G-MAG maintains as part of its Reference Tools. The talk covers what's new in the project since the last update and where the implementation is headed next.</p>
