5G-MAG introduced its newest open-source project, the 6G AI Traffic Characterization testbed, at the monthly Dev Public Call.

New Project: 6G Testbed & AI Traffic Characterization

5G-MAG launched a new open-source project enabling testing and characterising how Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications interact with next-generation networks. The initiative includes:

  • A scenario engine supporting 11 different AI interaction types
  • A network emulator simulating 3GPP network conditions
  • Metric collection tracking over 60 KPIs relevant to AI performance on 6G systems

This online session on the monthly Dev Public Call invited industry participants and developers to explore this new testbed as it opened up for testing and contributions.
